Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of this website and the student portal, and the admissions consultancy services of EDUGATE EĞİTİM DANIŞMANLIK. Please read them before you submit an application.

1. Who we are and when these terms apply

This website is operated by EDUGATE EĞİTİM DANIŞMANLIK (EduGate Education Consultancy), based in Istanbul, Turkey (“EduGate”, “we”, “us”). We work online; our contact details are below.

EDUGATE EĞİTİM DANIŞMANLIKIstanbul, TurkeyEmail: edugate.aw@gmail.comPhone / WhatsApp: +972 55 273 1647

By using the website you accept these terms. By submitting an application you confirm, through a separate checkbox, that you have read and agree to them. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must read and accept them on your behalf.

2. Our role

EduGate is an independent education consultancy and admissions agent. We are not a university, a government body, a scholarship foundation or a visa authority.

  • We help you choose a destination and programme, prepare your application, submit it to the university or partner and follow it up.
  • Decisions on admission, scholarships, tuition, visas and residence permits are taken only by the universities and authorities concerned.
  • Some applications and scholarship places are processed through our partner, Study Fans Global.
  • University names, logos and photographs on this site belong to their owners and are shown for information; their appearance does not mean the university has endorsed this website.

3. Our services and how an engagement starts

Submitting the application form on this website is free. It is a request for our service: it does not oblige you to pay anything, and it does not oblige us to accept your file.

After reviewing your file we tell you which options are realistic. The exact scope of our service, its price and its payment terms are agreed with you individually, in writing (by WhatsApp, email or the student portal), before you pay anything.

Before you submit the form you can go back through every step and correct what you entered. Once it is submitted we show you a reference number on screen straight away as confirmation of receipt, and you can follow the application in the student portal.

4. No guarantee of results

Applications are facilitated, not guaranteed. We do not guarantee:

  • admission to any university or programme;
  • the award, amount or continuation of any scholarship or discount;
  • the issue of a visa or residence permit;
  • the recognition or equivalence of a degree in your home country or anywhere else — you should check this with the competent authority before you enrol;
  • any processing time or decision date, which depend on the university or authority.

Statuses shown on the site, such as “Open”, “Closed” or “Coming soon”, and listed deadlines, are information as we last received it. Universities can change requirements, quotas, fees and deadlines at any time.

5. Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you give us and for the authenticity of every document you upload. On the application form you confirm, through a separate checkbox, that what you have provided is true, accurate and complete.
  • You must tell us promptly if anything changes, and answer requests for missing documents within the deadlines we pass on.
  • You must not submit forged, altered or misleading documents. If you do, we may stop working on your file, the university may reject or cancel your admission, and you bear the consequences.
  • You must keep access to your email account secure: the student portal signs you in through links sent to that address.
  • You must not misuse the website — for example by trying to access other people’s data, disrupting the service or uploading harmful files.

6. Prices, packages and payments

The prices shown on scholarship and package listings on this site are EduGate’s own package prices. They are not the university’s official tuition fees and may differ from the fees a university publishes.

  • Each price is shown in the currency stated on the listing, applies to the programme, language and intake year stated there, and is valid only while the listing is marked open.
  • A listed price is an invitation to enquire, not a binding offer. The price that binds both of us is the one we confirm to you in writing for your own file.
  • Unless your written offer says otherwise, prices do not include visa and residence-permit fees, health insurance, accommodation, travel, living costs, or translation, notarisation and equivalence fees.
  • This website does not take online payments. Invoices appear in your student portal, and we tell you directly how to pay. Pay only to payment details that we have confirmed to you in writing.
  • Amounts we pass on to a university or another third party on your behalf are subject to that party’s own refund rules.
  • Refunds of our own fees follow your written service agreement and the mandatory consumer rights described in section 9.

7. Website content and intellectual property

We work to keep the information on this site accurate, but it is general information and may contain errors or be out of date. Always confirm programme details, fees and requirements against the university’s official sources and against what we confirm to you in writing.

The EduGate name, logo, texts, illustrations and design belong to EduGate. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without our written permission. Photographs credited to other authors are used under their respective licences.

8. Electronic communications

We provide this website as a service provider within the meaning of Turkey’s Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce.

  • Messages we send you about your own application — by WhatsApp, phone, email or the portal — are service communications.
  • We send commercial electronic messages (promotions or marketing) only if you have given prior approval, as that Law requires, and you can refuse them at any time, free of charge, by replying to us.
  • These terms and our Privacy Policy remain available on this website; we recommend you save or print a copy when you apply. The version you accepted is recorded with your application.

9. Your rights as a consumer

If you engage us as a consumer and a paid service agreement is concluded at a distance, you have the rights given by Turkey’s Law No. 6502 on the Protection of Consumers and the Regulation on Distance Contracts. In particular, we give you the required information before you commit, and you may withdraw from the agreement within 14 days without giving a reason and without penalty, by notifying us in writing (email or WhatsApp is enough).

The right of withdrawal does not apply in the cases excluded by that Regulation — for example where, with your approval, the service has started and been fully performed before the withdrawal period ends.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for decisions, acts, omissions or delays of universities, partners, embassies, consulates, immigration authorities or other third parties, or for changes they make to fees, requirements, quotas or deadlines;
  • we are not liable for loss caused by inaccurate, incomplete or late information or documents from you;
  • we are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of third-party services;
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of opportunity, travel or accommodation costs;
  • our total liability in connection with a service is limited to the fees you paid to EduGate for that service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under the Turkish Code of Obligations or mandatory consumer law.

11. Suspension and ending the service

You can ask us to stop working on your application at any time. We may suspend or end our service, or your portal access, if you breach these terms, give false information or documents, or do not respond for an extended period. What is owed or refundable at that point follows your written service agreement and mandatory law.

12. Personal data

How we collect, use, transfer and protect your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, and the cookies we use in our Cookie Policy. To provide the service you ask for, we must share the information and documents you give us with the right parties — the universities, schools and other institutions you apply to, our partners, and the providers that operate our platform. This requires your explicit consent, which is requested on the application form separately from your acceptance of these terms.

13. Governing law and courts

These terms and our services are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction over disputes.

If you are a consumer, this does not remove your right to apply to the consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts that Law No. 6502 makes competent, including those at your place of residence, or any other mandatory protection the law gives you.

14. Notice to Users in Israel

If you are a consumer resident in Israel, Israel’s Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, may also apply to a paid service you arrange with us online, by phone or by messaging.

  • Before you pay for any service or package, we tell you in writing what the service includes, its total price and currency, and the payment terms.
  • If you want to cancel a service you have arranged with us, contact us by email, WhatsApp or phone, and we will handle your request in line with the cancellation rights the law gives you.

15. Changes and general provisions

We may update these terms. The version and date at the top of the page show the current text; the version you accepted is recorded with your application, and a change does not alter an agreement already concluded with you unless you agree.

If a provision is found invalid, the rest remain in force. These terms are published in Arabic and English; if the two differ, the English text prevails, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
