Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise the browser on later requests. Where a cookie can be linked to a person, using it is a form of personal data processing under Turkey’s Law No. 6698 (KVKK), and this policy forms part of our Privacy Policy.

All of these are first-party cookies set by this website itself.

Remembers whether you are reading the site in Arabic or English. Strictly necessary. It lasts until you close your browser.

sb-…-auth-token

Keeps you signed in to the student portal. It is set only after you sign in with the link we email you, and may be stored in several parts. Strictly necessary. It is removed when you sign out and otherwise lasts up to 400 days.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, social-media pixels or third-party tracking, and we do not use your browser’s local storage or session storage to track you.

Strictly necessary cookies are used because they are required to provide a service you have asked for — showing the site in your language and keeping you signed in — and for our legitimate interest in running the site securely (KVKK Art. 5/2-c and 5/2-f). In line with the Personal Data Protection Authority’s Guideline on Cookie Applications, such cookies do not require your consent, which is why this site does not show a cookie consent banner.

If we ever add cookies that are not strictly necessary, such as analytics, we will first ask for your consent through a clear choice, keep them switched off until you agree, and update this policy.

Our pages link to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. We do not embed their widgets, so they place no cookies while you browse this site; once you follow a link, that service’s own cookie policy applies.

Like any website, our hosting providers keep short-lived technical logs of requests (IP address, time, page, browser type) to operate and secure the service. These are described in the Privacy Policy.

• You can view, block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings, usually under “Privacy” or “Site data”.
• Signing out of the student portal removes the sign-in cookies.
• If you block the cookies above, the site still opens, but your language choice is not remembered and you cannot sign in to the student portal.
